
Riding instructor Zoe Lirakis has been working with physically and developmentally delayed children as well as at risk teens for many years. Having grown up on the farm, she has been around and on these horses for most of her life. Zoe has been riding for over 15 years, competing in many different disciplines with the Curly horses. She also excels as a teacher/instructor - possessing a gift for explaining technique in a very understandable manner.
For Therapeutic Riding : Zoe is certified in CPR, First Aid, CPI- which is a de-escalation technique used by many human service or social work professionals, and is familiar with the Challenge by Choice teaching method. She has a vast knowledge and understanding of disabilities and the needs and safety of our therapy riders. Zoe has had experience with at risk teens as well.
For Standard Lessons : Zoe herself takes lessons from an excellent Riding Coach and competes up to First Level Dressage - winning many ribbons and Breed Awards. As an Able Bodied Riding Instructor, she can help you gain confidence, a better seat, proper posture. She is certified in fitness and nutrition - and has a good understanding of the mechanics of riding and handling horses, which she can pass on to you as rider/handler.
